Control braces for Piper, TBM, Epic and Mooney aircraft
The new way to secure your controls and protect
the integrity of the control system
For too long, people have used a seat belt to pull down and bend the control tube in an effort to keep the controls from moving in strong winds.
This puts enormous stress as the controls are pulled all the way up, placing the ailerons in a full left or right position, which again puts stress on the airframe in high-wind environments. This has been tested during a 50-mph gust at the Savannah, Ga Airport
Using the Gust Lock, now patent pending, will securely place your control services in a level situation and keep the ailerons in a level position. We currently have custom-made locks for all the Piper M class, including the early Malibu line from 1984 to 1988, the Jet prop conversions, all Malibu Mirage and Matrix, and finally the M350, M500, M600, and M700 Fury
This is simple to place. Pull the controls back, snap the brace on, and release it. It is now secure. To remove, pull back and pull the brace off. It's that simple. Now you can protect your investment and be assured that you are not causing damage to your aircraft and investment.
